Green waste is the great hidden cost of every garden project. You can prune, cut, dig and clear all weekend, and at sunset you are left with a pile twice the size of the work and nowhere to put it. Council collections are limited, skips are rarely economical for garden waste alone, and the pile quietly settles into the corner of the garden and becomes the reason the car never fits in the drive. Removing it properly — legally, responsibly and without wrecking your back — is exactly what this visit is for.
What we take
Almost everything a garden produces: branches and brash from pruning and storm damage, grass cuttings and hedge clippings, leaves, weeds, old bedding plants, turf and soil from digging jobs, log piles you no longer want, and general garden debris down to the last twig. What we do not take is the things that are not green waste — building rubble, asbestos-suspect materials, paints and chemicals, or household junk beyond the garden boundary — and we will tell you plainly if something in the pile needs a licensed specialist instead, because that honesty is worth more than a bigger invoice.
The plan is agreed before we start
The part that makes this job painless is agreeing it up front. We ask roughly how much waste there is, what it is made of, where it is on the property and what access looks like — side gate, narrow alley, steps, parking nearby — because all of that shapes how long the load-out takes and therefore the cost. Green waste disposal is always agreed in advance as part of the quote: if you want some of it kept for compost or habitat piles, we stack it where you say; if you want it all gone, it goes. There is nothing more frustrating than a team that clears the garden and then starts negotiating about the pile, so we take that conversation out of the equation before we arrive.
Where the waste actually goes
This matters more than most people realise. Garden waste dumped in a hedge or layby is fly-tipping, and if it is traced back to your garden, the legal responsibility sits with you, not whoever loaded it. We dispose of green waste properly through legitimate routes, and we are happy to talk through how we handle it when we quote — it is a fair question to ask anyone you pay to remove waste. Soil is the one material worth flagging separately: it is heavy, it is bulky, and loads of it cost more to move than the same volume of light green waste, so if your pile is mostly soil we will say so at the quoting stage rather than surprising you afterwards.
How the visit runs
We arrive, confirm the plan, and load. Heavy branches are cut down to manageable lengths first, bags and barrows move the light material, and the route from pile to van is kept swept so nothing is dragged through the house or left on the drive. The final touch is the one customers actually notice: the ground is raked and swept where the pile sat, so the only evidence left is the extra space. Most single-visit loads are gone within a couple of hours; an over-accumulated garden may need more, and we will tell you at the quote rather than mid-load.
How to book
Book by phone or website, describing roughly what the waste is, how big the pile is, and where it sits. You pay a booking fee when you book, labour is charged hourly at a rate that depends on how soon you need the visit, and the full cost is quoted and approved before we start, with disposal arrangements agreed in advance as part of that quote.
How the price works
We charge a booking fee to hold your slot, then an hourly rate for the work itself. The fee changes with how soon you need us; the hourly rate changes with the slot you choose. You approve the price before we start, so there is no surprise on the invoice.

We diagnose on site
The engineer confirms the cause and tells you what the job involves and how long it should take.
You approve, we work
Nothing goes ahead until you agree the price. Labour is then charged per hour at your slot rate.
Every garden job generates a second job: the pile of branches, grass and cuttings that is somehow bigger than the work that created it. Whether it is the aftermath of your own weekend's pruning or you have simply accumulated too much to shift, we bring the labour, the transport and the disposal plan — agreed before we start, not argued about afterwards.
What our customers say about our outdoor & exterior service
4.6 out of 5 from 10 reviews
Sorted the same day
Rang in the morning and they got to us in Wolverhampton by early afternoon. Very clear about what needed doing, what it would cost and what could wait. No pressure to add extras. Exactly the sort of tradesperson you want.
Job: Uneven Shed Base
Turned up when they said
Turned up in the window they promised, walked me through the options (turns out the previous installer had left the pipework awkward to get to), then cracked on. Everything was tested before they left. No mess, no drama, no surprise on the bill.
Job: Water-Damaged Patio
Good work, poor communication
Work itself was fine and tidy. Communication beforehand was patchy — I did not get the confirmation message and had to ring to check the slot. Would still use again.
Job: Sinking Driveway

Questions people ask about green waste removal
Straight answers to the things customers ask most often before booking.
Could I just take the green waste to the tip myself?
You can, and for a car bootful it is the obvious answer. The trouble starts with volume: a decent pile of branches or soil is several tip runs, needs a vehicle that does not mind the mess, and usually takes a full day plus a very sore back. If the pile is bigger than the car boot and smaller than a skip's worth of other work, that is exactly the gap we fill.
What do you need to know before quoting a waste removal?
What the waste is made of, roughly how much there is, where it sits on the property, and what the access is like — gate width, steps, distance to parking. Those four things decide how long the load-out takes, and getting them roughly right at the quote means no mid-job surprises about time or cost.
Where does the waste go once you take it?
To legitimate disposal routes, and we are happy to talk through how we handle it when you ask — a fair question, since fly-tipped garden waste traced back to your address is legally your problem, not the removal crew's. What we do not take are the things that are not garden waste: rubble, chemicals, suspect asbestos sheets or household junk beyond the garden, which need licensed specialists instead.
The pile is mostly soil — is that a problem?
No problem, but it changes the price honestly rather than secretly: soil is heavy and bulky, so a load of it costs more to move than the same volume of light green waste. We will tell you that at the quoting stage, and if part of the soil is worth keeping for beds and levelling elsewhere in the garden, we will stack that separately for you.
How much does green waste removal cost?
You pay a booking fee when you book, and labour is charged hourly at a rate that depends on how soon you need the visit. The full cost is quoted and approved before we start, based on the volume and type of waste, the access and the load-out time, with disposal arrangements agreed in advance as part of that quote.
