What the job involves
A soundbar wall-mounted under the television finishes the setup: the sound comes from where the picture is, the furniture stays clear, and the cables can be shortened to sensible lengths. Most soundbars are light, so this is one of the quicker wall-mounting jobs we do — the care goes into alignment, cable tidiness and choosing fixing positions that do not meet anything unwelcome inside the wall.
Getting the position right
A soundbar sits centred under the screen, level with it or just below the bottom edge of the television depending on the bracket and the bar's height, and close enough that the gap looks deliberate rather than accidental. We check the layout against your actual television and bracket, agree the position with you, and mark it from a level so the bar sits true to the screen — a soundbar even a degree off level against a level screen is the first thing anyone notices.
The wall matters even for a light bar: plasterboard wants the fixings on studs or quality hollow-wall anchors, masonry takes plugs and screws, and both want the positions planned around the usual routes of sockets, aerial cables and other services behind a television wall. We do not drill blind; if a planned position is not one we are satisfied about, we agree an alternative before making any hole.
Brackets, cables and what we do not do
You normally supply the soundbar and its bracket — many soundbars have dedicated brackets available from the maker, and a universal bracket is the alternative — and we confirm what you have before the visit. The fitting itself is straightforward: fix the bracket to the wall with fixings matched to the wall and the bar's weight, seat the bar, and check the level and alignment against the screen.
Cables are where discipline matters. We keep cable management non-invasive: the bar's power and signal cables can be routed in surface trunking, clipped neatly down an edge, or dressed behind existing furniture along an agreed route — but we do not cut channels into walls, chase cables inside plaster, or alter any electrical installation. If you want cables fully hidden inside the wall, that needs proper access work agreed separately, and we will tell you what it involves rather than improvise. Plugging the soundbar in and connecting it to the television with the cable you have is part of the finish; rewiring sockets is not.
What to have ready
The soundbar, its bracket if you have one, the power socket position, and the cable you plan to connect it to the television with — HDMI or optical. Tell us the soundbar model and whether the television is already wall-mounted, and mention the wall type if you know it. If the television is not yet mounted, say so, because fitting both in one visit is usually tidier than two trips.
Aftercare
There is little to it: check after a week that the bar still sits level on its bracket, keep the trunking or clips dusted, and if you ever swap the soundbar for a new model, check the bracket compatibility before assuming the old holes will do — bar widths and fixing patterns vary.
Booking
Tell us the soundbar model, the television's position, the wall type and your timescale; same-day may be available. You pay a booking fee on booking, the hourly labour rate depends on how much notice you give, and the full cost is quoted and approved before work starts. Any bracket, trunking or fixings needed beyond what you supply are identified and quoted separately.
How the price works
We charge a booking fee to hold your slot, then an hourly rate for the work itself. The fee changes with how soon you need us; the hourly rate changes with the slot you choose. You approve the price before we start, so there is no surprise on the invoice.

You approve, we work

A wall-mounted soundbar finishes a wall-mounted television — but only when it sits level, centred under the screen and close enough for short, tidy cables. Most soundbars are light, so this is one of the quicker wall-mounting jobs we do; the care goes into alignment, the cable routes, and not drilling anywhere that might meet a socket or aerial cable.

Questions people ask about soundbar wall mounting
Straight answers to the things customers ask most often before booking.
Is mounting a soundbar a DIY job?
Genuinely, yes, for a light bar on a solid wall with a dedicated bracket — it is one of the easier wall-mounting jobs. The parts worth help are plasterboard walls, getting the bar perfectly level and centred against the screen, and tidying the cables without cutting into anything. If the television is also going on the wall, doing both in one visit usually works out tidier.
What do you do on the visit?
We agree the bar's position against your actual screen line, mark from a level, and fix the bracket with fixings matched to the wall type and the bar's weight. The bar is seated, levelled and aligned to the screen, and the cables are routed in surface trunking, clipped or dressed along an agreed non-invasive route. We connect it up with the cable you have and check the alignment before we leave.
Can you hide the cables inside the wall?
Not without cutting access, which is not part of this job: we keep cable management non-invasive — surface trunking, neat clips or agreed routes behind furniture — and we do not chase cables into plaster or alter the electrical installation. If you want cables fully concealed inside the wall, that is a separate job with proper access work, and we explain what it involves rather than improvise.
Do I need a specific bracket for my soundbar?
Many soundbars have dedicated brackets from the maker that clamp to the bar's own fixing points, and universal brackets are the alternative — the right choice depends on the model and where the television sits. Tell us the soundbar model when booking and we will confirm what you have will work before the visit, or agree what needs buying, quoted separately as materials.
How does pricing work?
A booking fee is paid when you book, and the hourly labour rate depends on how much notice you give. The full cost is quoted before work starts and approved by you. Any bracket, trunking or fixings needed beyond what you supply are identified and quoted separately.
